# Safety Guidelines

Archery is safe when everyone follows the same rules. These apply at every ProArchers session and event.

1. **Never draw or point a bow at anyone, even without an arrow.**A dry release or accidental loose can injure.
2. **Only shoot when the range is declared open.**Coaches control the shooting line at all times.
3. **Stay behind the waiting line until called forward.**Keeps everyone clear of the shooting lane.
4. **Collect arrows only on the whistle or coach’s signal.**No one walks downrange while shooting is live.
5. **Walk, never run, on the range.**Arrows and equipment are trip hazards.
6. **Tell a coach about damaged arrows or equipment.**Faulty gear fails under load.
7. **Arm guards and finger protection are worn for every session.**Prevents string slap and finger injury.

Our coaches brief every new archer before their first shot. These rules are enforced at all sessions.
